 My Review

This is the first book that I’ve read by Tiffany Ashley and it's certainly not going to be my last. I admit, I had a hard time rating this but considering that I enjoyed the story, I couldn't give this any less than 3 stars.

Thandie Shaw and Elliot Richards are both intriguing characters. And though there are times that I wanted to shake them for their mind-boggling and downright frustrating decision making, their chemistry is undeniable.

That said, I wish I felt more connection with either of them.

Elliot, for me the most part, was closed off. I wish I know more about him. The only thing that I really know about him is that he plays games and that he's shit-hot, women can't help but have spontaneous orgasms around him. Readers know this because Thandie, the main narrator of this story, keeps reminding readers of this.

That would have been fine with me, up to a point but Thandie just keeps mentioning it. And mentioning it that I had to roll my eyes and just go, "I get it. I get it!"

Thandie was... complicated. I like complicated. She's smart and strong except when it comes to Elliot. But then, Elliot is Elliot, so I guess it's believable that she loses her mind when it comes to him. Maybe. I don't usually like heroines to lose their minds around the hero, but like I said, I couldn't really complain because their chemistry is undeniable.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading more from this series.

Rating: 3.5 stars!
